The Challenge of the Gobots was one of the stupidest cartoon shows on TV in the 80’s. Bolt, Scratch, Dozer and Staks with power suits took the place of Grimlock, Slag, Sludge and Swoop in the story. Animationwise the Gobots are from Hanna-Barbera, so production value is very low. The manipulations of the evil Gong and Sideways resulted in various GoBots swapping places with characters during the events of that film. In the story Cultural Appropriation by Fun Publications it was revealed that Rock Lords Saberstone, Slimestone, Stone Hook and Tombstone teamed with the GoBots Dozer, Good Knight, Hans-Cuff and Royal-T to explore 59th Level when the Cataclysm threatened to destroy the GoBots home universe.ĭozer was featured in the 2016 Ask Vector Prime story Echoes and Fragments, set during the events of The Transformers: The Movie. ĭozer also appeared in the episode 51 " The Third Column."ĭozen appeared in the feature film GoBots: Battle of the Rocklords.ĭozer was among the Security Force team assembled by Leader-1 to capture Cy-Kill in the story Escape To Planet Earth.ĭozer appears on the cover of the book The Weeds of Calcheron. Also his hands can't be swapped, so they're on backwards. Due to the angle of the dozer blade, he only looks right with his feet apart. And I realized the two could exist together in the same universe. Though they debuted first they wouldn’t last as long.

They added a cartoon show and movie and compete against the Transformers. The biggest difference is that now the dozer blade gets unplugged from the treads and plugs into the holes in the gray panels on his legs (where the lift cylinders attach in tractor mode) to form his shins and feet. The GoBots were a transforming toy robot line put out by Hasbro in 1983. Transformation is similar to before: head, arms, waist, and legs all unfold the same way.
I then carved out some of the material from behind the blade, and 3D printed a new head and lower torso. I started with an RiD Wedge and removed Landfill's head, Wedge's head and feet, and the blade hinge pins. Another updated Gobot added to my ranks, this time one that's been planned for a while but sitting on the back burner while I worked on other projects.
